Our Curriculum

The Bailiffe Bridge School Mathematics curriculum aligns with the national curriculum and aims to develop an appreciation of the beauty and power of mathematics while promoting a sense of enjoyment and curiosity about the subject.

 

At Bailiffe Bridge School, we use the White Rose Maths Scheme of Learning, which is supplemented with materials from NCETM, NRICH and Big Maths, to support the teaching and learning of Mathematics.

 

Through blocked units of work and daily discrete lessons, children develop their:

  • fluency skills
  • ability to reason mathematically
  • ability to solve mathematical problems
  • knowledge and understanding of mathematical vocabulary.
